Summer 2011 Coaching staff: Chris Kear and Bob Kear.

Chris Kear- Founder and Director of Hudson Valley Spartans. Chris is the Head Varsity Coach at Pleasantville High School, NY. Chris has been coaching Lacrosse for 10 years, four years at Connecticut power Wilton and he is entering his fourth year at Pleasantville High School, first as Head Coach in 2012. Played high school lacrosse at John Jay and garnered All-league and All-Section honors in 1998 while capturing the Section I Class B title in '97 and '98 at the Attack position. Played Lacrosse at Ithaca College. Specialties include defense, man-up, man-down and rides/clears. Was honored in 2009 as the Section I League B Asst. Coach of the Year. Chris is a K-2 Physical Education Teacher in the Wilton Public School System, Wilton, CT.

Bob Kear- Bob is a graduate of both Yorktown High School and Springfield College, MA. He founded the Lacrosse program at John Jay High School over 30 years ago. While compiling over 350 career wins at the high school level he coached 10 All-Americans and was awarded Section I coach of the year twice. In 2001 he was inducted into the Hudson Valley Chapter Lacrosse Hall of Fame. He currently serves as the JV coach at Pleasantville high school and he is a Physical Education teacher in the Katonah-Lewisboro school system.

Kevin Reda- Assistant coach at Fairfield Prep High School (2011 Class L State Finalist). Kevin was Co-Captain of the 2009 Pleasantville Lacrosse team that made it to the Class C Sectional Quarterfinals. Kevin was an All-Section midfielder in 2009 and finished the season with 25 goals, 27 assists and 110 groundballs. Kevin's specialties include facing off and defensive midfielder technique. Kevin is currently a student at Fairfield University.

Alex Aponte- Alex was a Tri-Captain of the 2010 Pleasantville Lacrosse team that made it to the Class C, Sectional Semi-finals. Alex was All-Section Honorable-Mention and All-League in 2010. He compiled 43 goals, 25 assists his junior year and 43 goals, 30 assists in his senior campaign. Alex is currently a student at Penn State University and plays club Lacrosse.

Paul Bordonaro- Currently a member of the Briarcliff High School Varsity staff, 2012 will be his 3rd season with the team, 4th overall with the program. Played lacrosse at Yorktown High School ('04) and graduated from Loyola College ('08). Paul is a Social Studies Teacher at Briarcliff High School and is very active in the Briarcliff Youth Lacrosse Program.
